When I go to Starbucks I don’t order one of those sugar-packed, string-of-adjectives, drinks like most everyone else in line. You know, the “venti-nonfat-no foam-chai-cinnamon-doublepump-half calf-latte”? Nope, I get a small coffee, and I ignore the “barista” who attempts to correct my order by telling me “we have tall not small.”
Up until now I have been okay with paying the standard Starbucks $1.50 rate for this experience. However on a recent trip to Hawaii I was shocked to see the airport Starbucks demanding $3.50 for the same mediocre “tall” cup of caffeine.
Shame on you Starbucks, you’ve made the Gouge Report. Our advice, boycott the retailer in favor of one of their competitors, Peets Coffee or Seattle’s Best to name a couple.
Our dishwasher has been flashing an error code. It’s only 2 years old. I called Sears/Kenmore and instead of the expected “we’ll send someone out to give you a diagnosis and estimate”, it was “we have two payment options - first is $75 and we’ll send someone out to diagnose it and quote you for the repair. Or, $200 and we’ll cover any repairs, or replace it if needed.” You have to “place your bet” up front.I ask her if I can just speak to a tech to help diagnose the flashing light. “Nope, sorry.”
So I google “kenmore, flashing start light”, and the very first site tells me to press a couple buttons in sequence and clear the code. That’s it, in 30 seconds the dishwasher was fixed and is running right now.
